Switching Places
This weekend I started my new job at the Down East store at Fashion Place Mall. This has been a great situation for us, because I can work on Jake's days off and not have to worry about babysitters. However, it was a very different experience for both Jake and I to "walk in each others shoes" for the first time really since Makailey was born. Jake is a wonderful Daddy and Makailey loves spending the extra time with him. He had a few things the needed to be done around the house and he learned what a challenge that can be to get things done with an alert 2 month old. I got to experience a full 8 hour day without Makailey (a first) and then come home tired and run errands and be pleasant with my family. I certainly have a new appreciation for Jake and the wonderful attitude he has everyday. It was a good experience and an eye opening weekend for both of us!

Thanks for this post!! This is a really good reminder for me to be more understanding...with everyone. It's hard to have empathy for someone until you've walked in their shoes.
ReplyDeleteAnd...You are so lucky that you work at Down East!! Come January I will most definitely be looking for a job, and that would be one of the top places on my list!
